Sony is giving 10,000 users the chance to test its Android 6.0 Marshmallow software build through the Concept for Android initiative. The manufacturer rolled out the program earlier this year as a way to revamp its software, letting current Xperia owners beta test upcoming features.
The Marshmallow beta test is limited to Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact owners in the following countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. If you're eligible, download the Concept for Android app from the Play Store and register to get early access to the Android 6.0 build.
From Sony:
"Rather than merely previewing a new software version, this is about a proof-of-concept way of working, whereby we build a new user experience – and more importantly, process – from the ground up, that will also allow us to be more responsive in developing and rolling out the Sony Android upgrades Xperia users want, more quickly.
The beta test is limited to the first 10,000 users that sign up, so if you're interested, hit up the badge above to download the the Concept for Android app. Sony will notify successful applicants over the coming weeks with instructions on how to download the concept Marshmallow build.
