When it comes to changing and tweaking IMEI number of smartphone, MTK Devices such as Innjoo, Techno, Infinix e.t.c. are the best. These devices comes with an inbuilt functionality to do just that. To change your MTK device IMEI number you'll need to download the lightweight Android application called MTK Engineering. (Available on Play Store)
Note: If you're doing this for the first time please ensure you make a backup of your default IMEI number, dial *#06# to do so.
Let's Begin:
1. Open the app and select MTK Settings
2. Swipe your device screen to the right to enter the Connectivity Tab
3. Under Connectivity settings select CDS Information and select Radio Information.
4. For Devices with 2 sims, Phone 1 is for SIM 1 and Phone 2 is for SIM otherwise just select Phone 1 (Note that the selection will depend on the sim you're trying to change its IMEI.
5. Next you'll see a text field with this content AT+. Now there is a hidden dropdown menu we want and to display it here is what we do: type any letter after the + and then delete it, the menu will be displayed.
6. Amongst the displayed contents select the first one which looks like this; AT+EGMR=1,7,""
7. Insert or type your IMEI number between the quotes and then hit Send AT Command
8. Restart your phone or just toggle airplane mode on and off and we are done.
To verify dial *#06#.
